The rainshadow's 2.5-layer tear-resistant fabric is packable and lightweight.  It's interior surface texture channels moisture away from skin, protects the waterproof barrier from abrasion and slides easily over layers. Features include pit zipsand a roll-down, 2-way-adjustable hood that's helmet-compatible.  It also has soft, compressible hook-and-loop wrist closures, lightweight water-resistant zippers and internal and external pockets. It allows room for thicker under layers.
